Poor sales are to blame for the discontinuation of a Lay's potato chip that combined the flavors of moose meat and maple syrup. According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the unique flavor was created by Newfoundland's Tyler LeFrense. The flavor won an online voting competition for a new Canadian-style flavor of Lay's chips last year. LeFrense says the company broke the news to him during a conference call. He says the news was "a little bit discouraging," but he understands the decision. Even though his original flavor is no longer available, LeFrense says it was "one of those once in a lifetime experiences."
