Police: Woman Sells Fake Meth, Calls Cops for Protection When Junkies Show Up to Complain

Posted January 15th, 2013 @ 9:51am

A woman from Centralia, Washington, who allegedly tried to pass off table salt as meth, called 911 when drug users besieged her home to complain.

WPXI reports when cops found Melisa Akers Friday, she was allegedly smoking weed with three teenage males. Centralia Officer Corey Butcher said of Akers' hare-brained scheme, "People who use [meth] know exactly what it's like, and frankly, I’m amazed she would even try that...It's hard to put into words the level of intelligence that goes along with this."

The methamphetamine may have been fake, but the pot was real, so Akers was charged with providing marijuana to minors.
