Two new TV shows debut Wednesday for your summer viewing pleasure.
On NBC, a dramedy about summer camp, simply called Camp, stars Rachel Griffiths from Six Feet Under and Brothers and Sisters as the owner of the Little Otter Family Camp. Her character is recently divorced and scrambling to keep the cash-strapped camp from going under. The camp features the usual mix of kids running wild and teenage counselors falling in and out of love.
Roger Shepard, who played Rodger Corser on Underbelly, co-stars as an arrogant but sexy owner of an upscale camp across the lake.
On FX, a crime thriller about a serial killer operating on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, debuts. The Bridge stars Diane Kruger as El Paso Police Detective Sonya Cross, a cop with Asperger's Syndrome. The series is based on a Danish/Swedish show of the same name.
Kruger’s best known for her roles in films such as The Host, Inglorious Basterds, and National Treasure. Kruger tells ABC News Radio she agreed to do her first TV series because she believes cable television “has better writing and better material than most movies these days...” Kruger says she’s “never been offered a part like this in a film...” The series co-stars Demian Bichir.
Camp debuts at 10 p.m. Eastern time on NBC. The Bridge premieres at 10 p.m. Eastern time on FX.
