Don’t miss out on our tool raffle, featuring several valuable collections of power tools featuring four separates chances to win. Packages are a Westinghouse generator, a Craftsman power washer, a Kobalt compressor, and a DeWalt power tool collection. A 50/50 Raffle will also be held at event’s end, and winners need not be present for either. All raffle proceeds directly benefit the fire department. At 10 AM, Wheeling Rock Depot’s Rock Troll, R. Scott Stewart, will do an hour of his mostly acoustic set of classic Rock and originals picked from over 30 years of songwriting and performing. He’ll then emcee the stage. At 11 AM, Valley award-winning Stone Martial Arts will give a demonstration in taekwondo and other martial arts. Led by Jacob and Lisa Stone, this family-run Wheeling dojo has provided local first responders with defense training and has a long relationship with our first responder community and the Wheeling area. Valley Grove firefighters and other local responders will also give various skills demonstrations throughout the day. A treat for kids young and old! At 1:00 PM, Ohio Valley’s Donnie Decena will play Pop and Rock favorites mastered over decades playing venues across Asia, the Pacific (cruise lines) and the United States. He is a musician’s musician. Music will close from 2:30 to 4 PM with an exciting new Ohio Valley Rock band, 10 Penny, a quartet with serious musical chops. Jason Jump on bass, Jacob Carpenter on guitar, Jon Clark on vocals and guitar, and Cody Stepanek on drums gives you from classic Rock to modern hits tastefully with a bite. They are a new Ohio Valley favorite. Our sponsors include Highlands’ Quaker Steak and Lube, a longtime patron of music and events in the Valley, as well as a popular dining destination with a menu and ambiance geared to sports fans, drivers, and motorcycle enthusiasts. Leslie Antonic’s Ruttenbucks is another strong music venue in the Ohio Valley Music scene, as is Valley Grove’s Eagle’s Den. Hillbilly Snack Shack has long supported emergency responders in Ohio County, as have our other sponsors. It will be a great afternoon and early evening of family-friendly entertainment, and a great chance to meet and support the firefighters and EMS personnel of Valley Grove VFD, provider for one of Ohio County’s largest service areas.
