Kane Brown's New Mini-Documentary Captures His Rise To Stardom

Kane Brown is the subject of a new mini-documentary coming to Amazon Music titled Velocity.

The documentary will share highlights of Brown's "meteoric rise to superstardom," from the beginning, leading up to his sold out show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on January 9, 2020. The massive show sold out in just 90 minutes and made Brown one of several country artists to headline the venue.

"I would just sing covers and put them on Facebook, never thinking a record label would hit me up or anything," he says in the trailer. "I was just hoping to get followers. I went to sleep one night and woke up and it worked magically, I don’t know how."

In addition to interviews with Brown himself, Velocity will also feature his manager Martha Earls; his wife Katelyn; agent Braeden Rountree; day-to-day manager, Nikki Boon; tour manager Shawn Richarson; friend David Bliek; and his longtime friend and barber, CT Kutz. The interviews will highlight moments that got Brown to where he's at today.

Along with the mini-documentary, Amazon will also release an Original Live EP, featuring recordings from Brown's Staples Center show. “It’s literally a dream come true with everything that happened the way it did,” Brown says.

Velocity is the fifth in a series of mini-documentaries created by Amazon music since Spring of 2019. The mini-documentary and Live EP will both be available on Thursday, February 20.
