The End Result Of Getting My Head Shaved For St. Baldrick's

It was an interesting Saturday night to say the least. Not only did the Wheeling Nailers have their Country Night game, but the St. Baldrick's Foundation was also there. They were collecting donations and shaving people's heads, all part of their role in the fight against childhood cancer. A couple days before the game, myself, Nailers forward Matthew Quercia, and Nailers Corporate Sales Manager John Parrish raised money for the foundation, then got our heads shaved in the 2nd Intermission. The end result is pretty amazing!

Before the shaving, the three of us combined to raise nearly $1,000 for the foundation, so we can't thank everyone who donated enough for their generosity. I don't mind my new look at all, but my son needed some time to get used to it. His first look at my new hairdo the next morning was priceless!

He would warm up to it though, and now he'll try to touch my hair every chance he gets. It'll feel cold on my head for a couple weeks, but it's all for a good cause so I don't mind it one bit!
