Charles Kelley’s wife is pregnant with Baby No. 2!
The Lady A star and wife Cassie Kelley announced the “biggest surprise of our lives” on Tuesday morning (March 25). The couple shared a few family photos by photographer Mary Craven Dawkins on Instagram, spotlighting Cassie’s growing baby bump. Cassie shared in her caption that Baby Kelley will arrive in early fall 2025, and “big brother [son Ward, 9] is the MOST excited.”
Kelley’s announcement arrives shortly after his Lady A bandmate, Hillary Scott, revealed she’s pregnant with Baby No. 4. Scott made the surprise announcement last month. Her baby daughter will join big sisters Eisele Kaye, 11, and twins Betsy and Emory, 7. She shared a sweet reaction to Kelley's baby news on Tuesday, and noted that the announcement “makes 9 [Lady A] kiddos! ❤️” The Lady A family also includes Joseph Michael Haywood, Baby No. 3 for bandmate Dave Haywood’s family. Joseph Michael arrived last year, joining big siblings Cash Van, and, Lillie Renee, ages 10 and 7, respectively.
Kelley — who will release his new single, “Can’t Lose You,” with a cover of one of his favorite songs by The Killers, “Here With Me,” on Friday (March 28) — told PEOPLE when Ward was born that he wanted his son’s name to be “something different. …We wanted something unique and special.” Ward was born on February 11, 2016. Cassie shared when her firstborn child arrived that she was “so overwhelmed with love & gratitude.”
