Parker McCollum said he knew his latest ballad “would be special the second I wrote it.” The Texas-born country star delivered “Hope That I’m Enough” as he gets ready to release his self-titled fifth studio record this summer.

McCollum opens up in the “heartfelt confessional about insecurities in measuring up to be the kind of partner that will last a lifetime,” per a press release issued Wednesday morning (April 16). The award-winning country star teamed up with songwriters Matt Jenkins and Jessi Alexander to pen the latest song to release from his upcoming 14-track album. Frank Liddell and Eric Masse produced “Hope That I’m Enough.”

“Hope That I’m Enough” follows “What Kinda Man,” a honky tonk-worthy anthem that released last year. McCollum announced his album to the sold out Rodeo Houston crowd last month (where he shared a sweet moment on stage with wife Hallie Ray Light McCollum and son Major Yancey Tyler McCollum, who was born in August 2024). McCollum said in a statement that the upcoming album is “the best thing I’ve ever done. This record is honest, this record is raw, this record is one thousand percent authentic, Parker, and it feels really good to get back to writing and recording songs like I always wanted to.” PARKER MCCOLLUM will arrive on June 27.
