A mom planned a Barbie-themed funeral for herself after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024. Months later her diagnosis was terminal and her plans to have a Barbie-themed funeral was enacted by her family.
Her funeral included the mom resembling a real-life doll by lying in a glass coffin while two cutouts of herself stood next to it. Mourners were also requested to follow the Barbie theme for the day with a strict hot pink and black dress code. The funeral had the Bobby Bones Show thinking about the themes they would have at their funerals if they were to plan them.
Amy would want hers to be a rainbow theme so that everyone wears different colors and it's full of brightness and light. Bobby would go full Arkansas Razorbacks, he would have his casket holders in full shoulder pads and then proceeds to be buried in the middle of the stadium, so after he was fully buried they would play on top of him. Eddie would want a Hawaiian theme, it can be anywhere so long as everyone wears Hawaiian shirts, there is Hawaiian music playing, and everyone gets a Mai Tai when they enter. There would also be no shoes allowed. Lunchbox would go Survivor themed, where he would have a tribal council and his casket would be on fire. When the casket gets closed, everyone would say the tribe has spoken and mourners would give speeches like it's the final tribal counsel. Then the audience would vote on who should get all of his stuff based on the speeches.
