Riley Green Graduation Speech

Riley Green can now officially use the title "Dr. Riley Green." He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree from his alma mater, Jacksonville State University, and he was named a Doctor of Letters, honoris causa, at JSU’s Spring Commencement ceremony last week. He was also the keynote speaker at the graduation of the College of Education and Professional Studies. Riley was the starting quarterback at Jacksonville State University from 2007 to 2009 before shifting his focus to music. He closed his comments at graduation with some words of wisdom. "So my advice to the 2026 graduating class is grab the heavy end. Whatever you’re doing, whatever it is that you find that you’re good at, and you will find something, don’t let it get away.
