Rascal Flatt guitar player and vocalist Joe Don Rooney was sentenced to two days in jail. In addition, he will lose his Tennessee motor vehicle license after he entered a plea of guilty to a 2021 DUI charge in court this week, according to The Tennessean.
A Class A misdemeanor, the penalty includes up to 11 months and 29 days of jail time. Rooney’s remaining sentence of 11 months and 27 days will be suspended. Joe Don Rooney will be required to take a DUI course. He will be allowed to apply for a restricted driver’s license to operate a vehicle with a built-in breathalyzer.
